About the Community Development District (CDD)
The Grand Haven Community Development District (CDD) is an independent local special-purpose government unit, created pursuant to the provisions of Florida Statutes Chapter 190. The CDD is responsible for serving the long-term specific needs of Grand Haven.
- It is run by 5 board members who are elected by the residents of GH during national elections.
- Its main powers are to plan, finance, construct, operate and maintain our community's infrastructure and services specifically for the benefits of homeowners / residents.
- Each year it adopts an operating and maintenance budget and a separate capital improvement budget.
- The CDD is funded through the annual home owners non-ad valorem taxes.
- The CDD contracts with a specialist Community Management Services Company, currently Vesta Property Services, to manage all Grand Haven Amenities.
